Itinerary

Climbing Mont Blanc is a serious endeavour that requires careful planning, acclimatization, and consideration of weather conditions. Here’s a suggested 5-day itinerary for climbing Mont Blanc via the Gouter Route:

Day 1: Arrival in Chamonix

  • Arrive in Chamonix, and check into your accommodation.
  • Attend a pre-climb briefing with your guide or guide service.
  • Finalize gear preparations, ensuring you have all the necessary equipment.
  • Rest and hydrate in preparation for the climb.

Day 2: Acclimatization Hike

  • Take a cable car or hike to Aiguille du Midi to acclimatize to higher altitudes.
  • Spend the day exploring the area around Aiguille du Midi.
  • Review safety procedures and roped travel with your guide.
  • Rest in the evening.

Day 3: Refuge du Tête Rousse

  • Begin the ascent from Chamonix to Refuge du Tête Rousse (elevation: 3,167 meters / 10,390 feet).
  • The climb usually takes around 4-6 hours, depending on conditions and group pace.
  • Stay overnight at Refuge du Tête Rousse to acclimate further.

Day 4: Summit Day

  • Start early in the morning for the summit push.
  • Climb to Refuge du Gouter (elevation: 3,835 meters / 12,582 feet).
  • Continue to the Vallot Refuge (elevation: 4,362 meters / 14,305 feet).
  • Summit Mont Blanc (elevation: 4,809 meters / 15,778 feet).
  • Descend to Gouter Refuge for Rest and Night.
  • This day can be very long, taking approximately 10-12 hours for the ascent.

Day 5: Rest and Departure

  • Rest and recover from the climb.
  • Check out from your accommodation and depart to Chamonix.
  • Check in to your hotel and later we will meet for dinner and celebration.

Day 6: Rest and Departure

Take a well-deserved rest day to recover from the climb. Check out from your Chamonix accommodation, departing with memories of a lifetime and the pride of having conquered Mont Blanc.

The itinerary may need to be adjusted based on weather conditions, group dynamics, or other unforeseen circumstances. we always prioritize safety and be prepared to turn back if conditions are not favourable.
