This holistic tour is not to be missed! This trip is all focus on Health, welbeing, culture, food, and spirituality. In India Kerala has been a prime centre for the development of Ayurveda for long. The verdant forests and hills abundant in herbs and other flora are extremely valuable for the preparation of Ayurvedic concoctions. Keralites or Malayalis adhere to a ayurvedic lifestyle in their cuisine, religious rituals, oil baths, periodic purification etc. Even the martial art forms and dances have drawn from Ayurvedic therapy of health, exercise and healing. This tradition has been kept alive in this exotic land of Kerala at the south western tip of india by Vaidyars (physicians).

These physicians classify a patients’ state of health according to the imbalances of the three doshas namely Vata, Pitha and Kapha. Kapha is the entire physical volume in a living organisms, pitha, the entire biochemical process operating in a body and Vata is that which constitutes bodily movement and activity. A disturbance in any of these three doshas leads to a particular disease and the treatment is administered to restore the equilibrium.

Travelled to the north of Spain for a week with Mohan from Namaste Nomad - travelled with 2 friends - 12 in total in the group - 12 had such a laugh. Great bunch of people of all age groups. The holiday was fool proof with all activities and meals organised. We age local cuisine with the locals. Truly an amazing holiday and I would highly recommend it. I thought the holiday was so well organised I have decided to travel to Nepal with this company in 2018. Get booking - you wont regret it.

I love traveling with Nameste Nomad! This is my fourth trip with Mohan and Nameste Nomad, the reasons I keep coming back are; 1. Affordable- they are half price of most guide companies! 2. Ecologically friendly- when trekking in Nepal we take boiled water over plastic bottles, He asks that people think of their impact as travelers, leaving only footsteps not trash. 3. Quality- from transport to hotels we stayed in high quality hotels and comfortable transportation. 4. Personal touch- the guides where fantastic in looking after all sorts of details and needs. Each trip I have learned new words to use in the countries I’ve been in. 5. Humane travel- Nameste Nomad asks you to participate in the local culture by trying and eating the locally. As in Nepal you will be asked eat Vegetarian since that is the local norm. 6. As a small organization I have had the privilege to travel with the owner, Mohan on multiple trips. 7. Local impact- since I have traveled multiple times with Nameste Nomad, I have had the privilege to see Mohan do charity work while trekking. We have fed small children as we hiked and have stayed at off the beaten path locations to provide a more equitable impact in the mountains of Nepal. One group raised money to aid a village women’s group. Two years later I visited to see the final work that the money did. 8.safety- All guides with Nameste Nomad have had training in first-aid. In Nepal most of his guides have mountain rescue skills from working on Mt. Everest. 9.Multi-National groups. As an American, it is refreshing to travel with persons from all over Europe and Australia. Each time I’ve been on a trip I have met new friends. 10. Experience-each trip has been filled with wonder and delights; from my co-travelers to the knowledge of the guides. I have nothing but great memories and new friends!

Whether you’re a seasoned traveller or just first time adventurer you'll notice when you search on line for somewhere to visit that there are plenty of web sites and travel companies that seem to offer very similar packages, similar routes, similar landscapes all promising the same experience. This is my second time to Himalayas, first time to Everest base camp (with a different Irish Company). I recently travelled to Island Peak with Mohan and Namaste Nomad team. No matter how much research you do regarding a trek the experience will be a unique and personal journey for you, there are a lot of variables to consider. I enjoyed my first experience, however when I compare both treks covering similar routes albeit different destinations I cannot stress how impressed I am with the leadership, professionalism, sincerity, and uniqueness that is offered by Namaste Nomad. From the outset there is trust, honesty, and a deep motivation by Mohan and his team to understand and satisfy your reason for joining an adventure with them. Whether you travel alone (like me), as a couple, or a group of friends you will soon feel part of a wonderful group with the necessary time to oneself and others yet the room to feel like you’re on holiday although you have a mission. They offer great advice from well seasoned experienced staff, your safety and well being are always monitored and cared for, food and accommodation is lovely and varied. The people you meet, the guides and helpers, and the places you visit and stay along the way are easily passed by other tour companies. With our 2018 trek to Island Peak plans had to change due to weather conditions and our itinerary was altered and managed seamlessly by Mohan and his team with coordination with Kathmandu. This unplanned adjustment offered a window to a successful summit for the majority of our party, although we met groups who failed either side of our new summit day including a group of 19 who were left so disappointed. I am a seasoned hiker but this was my first time using ropes and having to complete some technical mountaineering, the training and equipment was provided by Mohan and his team including Dawa J Sherpa (5 time Everest summiteer) all helping to micro manage each group member on the day. The uniqueness offered by Namaste Nomad is that they genuinely care that you get the most from the adventure you choose. Other companies testify to the same but sometimes really it is left up to you to make the most of what they offer, they're running a business however to Mohan and Namaste Nomad it is more than just a business, one experience and you'll understand what I mean. They have set a real benchmark for me.

I recently returned from a thoroughly enjoyable trek to EBC and Kalapathar. The trip was beyond amazing and a life changing experience. This was all made possible, largely due to our highly organised and very knowledgable Leader Mohan (and his team of local Sherpas and Porters) who educated us on all aspects of life in Nepal including environmental issues which he is very passionate about. Mohan’s attention to detail was second to none, ensuring everyone stayed healthy and safe, while also thoroughly enjoying ourselves. This is the trip of a lifetime with breathtaking views and such cheerful and welcoming locals. We had a fantastic group that supported one another throughout and the craic was brilliant. I would highly recommend travelling with this company and I for one, can’t wait here for my next trekking adventure with them. Thank you Mohan.

What can I say about Namaste Nomads, just Excellent. From start to finish, everyone that we dealt with were helpful, professional, caring and accommodating in what we wanted for our adventure. Itinerary changes were no problems. The advice we were given before we flew out to Kathmandu and all through the trek were invaluble in making the trek a success. We were picked up at the airport and taken to our hotel and met by Ashim who checked us in and explained about the rest of the trip. We met our guide Dawa (5 times Everest summitier). So much experience from all the Namaste Nomad staff. The trek was fantastic and Dawa (guide) and Sudip (sherpa) looked after us throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Their advise from what to eat and how to cope with the altitude was invaluble. The porters who carried our bags were efficient and our bags were always at the lodge well before we arrived. When we got to EBC a change to the itinerary was discussed with us. Dawa suggested we climb Kala Patthar that afternoon and see the sunset over Everest rather than seeing the sunrise early in the morning. What a brilliant suggestion as we saw Everest on fire. If you want to do trek in Nepal then check these people out. I would not hesitate to go with them again. Already planning a trip in 2020 with them.

The trip with namaste nomad to Everest Base Camp was truly amazing. The group I was with were also a great bunch of people and it made the trip a lot more enjoyable. The professionalism that mohan and his team of Sherpas provide is exceptional. We did see some other groups on the trip and unfortunately we could clearly see that a lot of things were not provided for them. Travelling with mohan, everything is taken care of from food to the bed you sleep in. It’s almost like you have a group of babysitters because the only thing you have to worry about is the walking !. Mohan and his team provide a safe friendly and thoroughly enjoyable journey even when you hit some hard points. I would highly recommend Namaste nomad for any trip you might want to do. From start to finish the trip was amazing !

This was the second trip I booked with Namaste Nomad. The first was hiking to Everest Base Camp which was a phenomenal trip! I placed a deposit on Bhutan before I left Nepal due to the shear genuineness of Mohan. He is very thorough in ensuring a safe and successful trip. In Bhutan he was open to group needs and used this information to organize alternative to the original plans. The group I was with had great communication between so that we could make choices that benefitted all of us. If you are thinking of traveling abroad and you love realism in your travels this is the company to book with. You will get the chance to see everyday life in your travels vs sitting on a tour bus skipping the realities of life outside.
