The Kanchenjunga Base Camp trek is considered to be one of the best treks in India. Offering some challenging yet delightful trails, this trek is undertaken by trekkers from different parts of the world. While for the non-adventurers this trek might sound difficult and strenuous, for the thrill-mongers it is a dream come true. Geographically, Kanchenjunga and other surrounding five massive peaks are together forming the third highest peaks in the world.

They are in the mighty Himalayas located in the small beautiful state of India, Sikkim. Kanchenjunga stands at an elevation of about 8586 meters, this trek runs from the western side of Sikkim, and east of Nepal.

We start our journey from Delhi Airport and we finish in return at Delhi airport, we will be there to receive you on arrival, your hotel in Delhi will be booked in advance, your transports will be ready and your guide for the whole trip will be in Delhi to greet you. On the first day, we will explain to you our itinerary, and plans and give you all the required information. We do all money change, and last-minute shopping for the trek can be done in Delhi. You have an opportunity to ask any questions regarding the trip and if you wish to change any days or plans on the itinerary that’s possible as well.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you’ll be greeted by our team and escorted to your hotel. Following check-in, there will be a team introduction session and a comprehensive tour briefing. Later in the evening, take a guided walk through the vibrant streets of Delhi, culminating in a traditional dinner.

Day 2: Flight to Sikkim

Catch a Spice Jet flight from Pakyong Airport to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Spend the day acquainting yourself with Gangtok, and visiting notable landmarks such as Tashi Viewpoint and Rumtek Monastery. Conclude the day with dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Exploring Gangtok

Embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Gangtok, Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim, a modern town with all facilities. we visit Tashi Viewpoint, Ganesh Tok, Enchay Monastery, and Himalayan Zoological Park. Obtain necessary trekking permits from Sikkim Tourism. In the evening, enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 4: Journey to Youksum(1780mts)

Depart from Gangtok for Youksum, once open a time it used to be the capital of Sikkim Kingdom. En route, stop at Ravangla to admire the Buddha Stupa. Upon arrival in Youksum, settle in and prepare for the trek ahead.

Day 5: Trek to Tshoka( 2700mts)

Begin the trek from Yuksom to Tshoka, surrounded by stunning landscapes and verdant forests. Overnight stay in Tshoka.

Day 6: Trek to Dzongri (4030)

Continue the ascent to Dzongri, passing through picturesque trails and enjoying panoramic views of the Himalayas. Overnight stay in Dzongri.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day

Excursion to Laxmi Pokhari.
Early risers can get up before dawn to climb to a vantage point on a ridge above the campsite to watch the sunrise on the Khangchendzonga, Kabru, Pandim, Rathong, and many other peaks of the Khangchendzonga range. Full-day excursion to Laxmi Pokhari. The trial first goes through rhododendron bushes and pasture land for about an hour to Chamaray. From here it is a gradual ascent to Laxmi Pokhari, a big lake cupped in a deep crater. Here you will get a good view of the Khangchendzonga range, Pandim, Narsing, Kabur, Kabur dome, Koktang etc. If you reach Laxmi Pokhari early and feel physically fit, an excursion towards Kabur Rock will be a rewarding experience. Back to Dzongri. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

Day 8: Trek to Laxmi Pokhari

Trek to Laxmi Pokhari, a serene lake nestled amidst the mountains. Experience the tranquillity of the surroundings.

Day 9: Trek to Bikhbari ((4450 m)

Chaurikhang Continue the trek to Bikhbari Chaurikhang, soaking in the beauty of the landscape and the surrounding peaks.

Day 10: Trek to Rathong Glacier (4380 m)

Embark on the journey to Rathong Glacier, marvelling at the majestic glaciers and pristine wilderness.

Day 11: Trek to Bikhbari

Trek back to Bikhbari, enjoying the last leg of the journey amidst breathtaking scenery.

Day 12: Trek to Tshoka (2700 m)

Conclude the trek with a descent to Bakkhim, where you can celebrate the successful completion of the expedition.

Day 13: Return to Yuksom (1780M)

Return to Yuksom and bid farewell to the mountains. Reflect on the incredible journey and cherish the memories made.

Day 14: Relax day and village walk.

Early Morning Drive to Kheceopheri Lake and then to Hilltop town Pelling, evening hike in the local village near Pelling to experience Sikkimese rural life.

Day 15: Drive to the Airport for Delhi

It is a day for departing home, this day we might stay in the Delhi Hotel near the Airport in Delhi it depends on our Return flight schedule.
