Mt. Toubkal Trek Itinerary

Duration: 8 Days / 7 Nights
This itinerary can be customized according to group needs.


Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

  • Arrive in Marrakech and enjoy a private transfer from the airport to your riad in the Medina.
  • Evening group meeting, itinerary discussion, and dinner.
  • Accommodation: Traditional Riad
  • Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Oukaimeden (2,600m) – Tizi Nadi (2,900m) – Tacheddirt Village (2,300m)

  • Morning transfer by car to Oukaimeden, the trek’s starting point, where you’ll meet the mule team to load bags and equipment.
  • Visit ancient relics before trekking towards Tacheddirt via Tizi Nadi.
  • Explore the village and enjoy tea inside a Berber house.
  • Accommodation: Dar Tachdirt Lodge
  • Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • Walking Distance: 5–6 hours

Day 3: Tacheddirt (2,300m) – Tamatert Pass (2,280m) – Imlil (1,740m) – Talaoul Village (1,750m)

  • Trek from Tacheddirt, crossing the Tizi n’Tamatert Pass.
  • Descend into the Imlil Valley and continue to Talaoul Village.
  • Enjoy stunning views of Mount Toubkal in the background.
  • Accommodation: Traditional Riad (Oussaya House)
  • Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • Walking Distance: 5–6 hours

Day 4: Imlil (1,740m) to Mt. Toubkal Base Camp (3,207m)

  • Begin trekking along the Mizane Valley, passing the village of Aremd and the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch.
  • Continue ascending steadily to the Neltner Refuge at the snowline.
  • Accommodation: Neltner Refuge (Dormitory)
  • Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • Walking Distance: 6–7 hours

Day 5: Base Camp (3,207m) to Mount Toubkal Summit (4,167m) – Aroumd Village

  • Early morning ascent to Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak.
  • Enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and the Marrakesh plains.
  • Descend back to the Neltner Refuge and continue down to Aroumd Village for a well-deserved rest.
  • Accommodation: Guesthouse in Aroumd
  • Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • Walking Distance: 6–8 hours

Day 6: Aroumd Village to Marrakech

  • Enjoy a leisurely morning walk to your car transfer back to Marrakech.
  • Rest and relax at your riad.
  • Accommodation: Riad in Marrakech Medina
  • Meals: Breakfast

Day 7: Free Day in Marrakech

  • Explore vibrant Marrakech at your own pace.
  • Visit mosques, palaces, gardens, and bustling souks selling traditional crafts. Optional visits to landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque or Majorelle Gardens.
  • Accommodation: Riad in Marrakech Medina
  • Meals: Breakfast

Day 8: Departure

  • Private transfer to Marrakech Airport for your return flight, taking home unforgettable memories.
