About Ireland

We run Himalayan-style treks in the rugged and mountainous Donegal, in Ireland. Located on the Wild Atlantic Way, Donegal is an incredibly peaceful place with ever-changing skies and a stunning coastline. It never gets too crowded here and there are endless pristine beaches and mountains to wander around on. Like in the Himalaya, there isn’t a flat or straight road, path or walkway in sight. Its 5,000 years of history left Donegal with castles and religious sites scattered across its green landscape of great hills and lakes. Everywhere you go, friendly folk greet you with a cup a tea, myths and legends. Discover the wilderness and homeliness of Ireland with our Ireland tours and treks.

FAQs

How do I get there?

Aer Arann Express, Aer Lingus and Ryanair operate domestic services from Dublin to various locations within Ireland, including Donegal Airport near us. International carriers and low cost airlines operate to Dublin, Shannon, Cork, Kerry, Knock and Belfast.

Where is Dublin Airport in relation to the city centre?

The airport lies 10 kilometres north of the city centre. There are frequent buses and taxis to the city centre and hotels from right outside the Arrivals Hall.

What is the weather like?

The Emerald Isle is green for a reason – it gets plenty of rain. Be prepared for humid weather. The sun may shine and then it may rain but the temperature is rarely as extreme. The average temperature is 10 degrees Celsius, reaching lows of 7 degrees and highs of 20 degrees Celsius. Pack your waterproofs, warm clothing, shorts, sunscreen, sunhat and sunglasses – you will need them all. At least, the dramatic scenery is well worth it.
