I recently traveled to Nepal with Namaste Nomad to climb Mera Peak. This trip was an absolute amazing life experience for me. Mohan arranged everything from flights to accommodation to food and everything in between. His local knowledge was invaluable especially in Kathmandu where he even got our money changed to ensure we received the best rate. The trek itself could not have been better for acclimatisation. It’s a slightly longer route than some but gives you the best chance of summiting. Our 2 Sherpas could not have done more. They treated us like family and not just clients. They did everything they could to give us the best chance at summiting .. which the whole group did. I would definitely use NN for an future treks in the Himalayas. 10 out of 10!!

Best company and personal guided trekking in Himalayas. I been to NEPAL few times and I have done trek in Annapurna circuit with travel company from Dublin ( not fair to say name?) That company collaborate with Nepali local company. This time I choose Namaste Nomad after friend of mine recommend Mohan from donegal ( he is nepali origin Irish citizen and previously worked in Himalayas as #sherpa and guide) I checked the website and see the cost of EBC, compare to other company from Ireland he was very cheap but his itinerary and service looks similar. It was bit hard design to take after seeing price as don't know why he is very cheap and rest are expansive. But now I can say it was the best design. After my #ebc trek with Mohan and Dawa I understand that they deal direct and no middle man. They have oxygen, emergency satellite phone, madicle kit, and we were guided by 5 time Everest summiter one of the humble guy Dawa Sherpa. I am so thankful that I made it to Everest Base Camp. Going up all food was dairy free and no meat, it was hard but great vegetrain food for healthy body and its safe and no sickness. In high altitude Mohan says meat and dairy dosent digest properly that's why many people are tummy sick and get altitude sickness in high places. Many big company doesn't care this much in details , probably no experience in field. Mohan and Dawa have great knowledge and so much caring. Mohan have great links with domestic Air and hotels and markets in Kathmandu also along the trek in tea houses it makes trip very flexible, he was able to change few places in itinerary in our demands. Instead of staying in Namche 2 night we travel to #khumjung like that didn't happen in last trip. Arrival dinner in Kathmandu was free and very well organise evening. Well breafing pre trek. Early flights in and out from lukla. No hassel at all. Luggage store in Kathmandu, Hotel moonlight is best place to stay just back of thamel and 1 minute from Everest Irish Pub 😁. Great rooms and nice beer garden in back. Sightseen was include in trip as well. Overall it was the best adventure holiday so far. I am already decided to do Meera peak with Mohan and Namaste Nomad next year. I fully recommend this small but amizing company for you epic trip to Himalayas.

What a great trip! This trip lets you see a different side to Northern Spain and the Camino. We had a super time trekking in the Picos de Europe with an amazing bunch of people. The groups are small group so it was flexible and there was no issue with tailoring days to what people needed or required. All ages groups, singles, couples but most of all at the end great friends! Accommodation and meals for each night had been thoughtfully located and selected! Food was amazing! This trip has to be experienced and enjoyed by everyone!

I love traveling with Nameste Nomad! This is my fourth trip with Mohan and Nameste Nomad, the reasons I keep coming back are; 1. Affordable- they are half price of most guide companies! 2. Ecologically friendly- when trekking in Nepal we take boiled water over plastic bottles, He asks that people think of their impact as travelers, leaving only footsteps not trash. 3. Quality- from transport to hotels we stayed in high quality hotels and comfortable transportation. 4. Personal touch- the guides where fantastic in looking after all sorts of details and needs. Each trip I have learned new words to use in the countries I’ve been in. 5. Humane travel- Nameste Nomad asks you to participate in the local culture by trying and eating the locally. As in Nepal you will be asked eat Vegetarian since that is the local norm. 6. As a small organization I have had the privilege to travel with the owner, Mohan on multiple trips. 7. Local impact- since I have traveled multiple times with Nameste Nomad, I have had the privilege to see Mohan do charity work while trekking. We have fed small children as we hiked and have stayed at off the beaten path locations to provide a more equitable impact in the mountains of Nepal. One group raised money to aid a village women’s group. Two years later I visited to see the final work that the money did. 8.safety- All guides with Nameste Nomad have had training in first-aid. In Nepal most of his guides have mountain rescue skills from working on Mt. Everest. 9.Multi-National groups. As an American, it is refreshing to travel with persons from all over Europe and Australia. Each time I’ve been on a trip I have met new friends. 10. Experience-each trip has been filled with wonder and delights; from my co-travelers to the knowledge of the guides. I have nothing but great memories and new friends!

October 2016 Everest Base Camp... I went with Namaste Nomad having looked at other companies based in Ireland doing the same trek. Mohan was always available to answer questions. He himself has trekked to EBC lots of times which is reflected in his knowledge and experience. He employs Sherpa's (and pays them a fair wage !) whom are also very experienced trekkers and some have summited Everest !! they are very in-tuned into the needs (inc health needs, signs & symptoms of altitude sickness), informing us of the different peaks and opening to talking about their experiences summiting mount Everest. The weather was not in our favour for part of the trek. One morning...at 4am the cloud finally lifted; Mohan came and woke us all to share our first glance of mount Everest it was amazing. It is a well worn track to EBC and the key is to take it slowly and enjoy...live in the moment! Mohan always ensured we ate well, drank plenty of clean water & paid attention to everyone on the trek to ensure we remained healthy & safe in order to reach EBC. Mohan had arrange some touristy stuff in Kathmandu before our departure to Lukla...which was great and an opportunity to meet and get to know the group. I would recommend Mohan and his company Namaste Nomad !! I have subsequently booked a trip to Bhutan with Namaste Nomad :)

My husband and I found out about Namaste Nomad while on a hike in Ireland the year before. We stayed in connect with Mohan and planned going on the Island Peak trek. Being in the USA, all our communication was by email and Mohan answered all of our questions so we felt ready when we flew to Nepal. The trek was incredible. No stress. Mohan dealt with accommodations in Kathmandu and in the Everest Circuit, food the entire trek, flights to and from Lukla, and taxis from the airport. He gave great advice on the hike up, like avoiding dairy and meat and keeping a constant steady pace, so we didn't get sick or hurt before summit day. He was concerned about our well being and wanted us to make it to the summit and be happy as much as we wanted to. His sherpas were incredible men. Humble, sweet, and considerate. You can trust your guides and you will make a great friend at the same time.

Whether you’re a seasoned traveller or just first time adventurer you'll notice when you search on line for somewhere to visit that there are plenty of web sites and travel companies that seem to offer very similar packages, similar routes, similar landscapes all promising the same experience. This is my second time to Himalayas, first time to Everest base camp (with a different Irish Company). I recently travelled to Island Peak with Mohan and Namaste Nomad team. No matter how much research you do regarding a trek the experience will be a unique and personal journey for you, there are a lot of variables to consider. I enjoyed my first experience, however when I compare both treks covering similar routes albeit different destinations I cannot stress how impressed I am with the leadership, professionalism, sincerity, and uniqueness that is offered by Namaste Nomad. From the outset there is trust, honesty, and a deep motivation by Mohan and his team to understand and satisfy your reason for joining an adventure with them. Whether you travel alone (like me), as a couple, or a group of friends you will soon feel part of a wonderful group with the necessary time to oneself and others yet the room to feel like you’re on holiday although you have a mission. They offer great advice from well seasoned experienced staff, your safety and well being are always monitored and cared for, food and accommodation is lovely and varied. The people you meet, the guides and helpers, and the places you visit and stay along the way are easily passed by other tour companies. With our 2018 trek to Island Peak plans had to change due to weather conditions and our itinerary was altered and managed seamlessly by Mohan and his team with coordination with Kathmandu. This unplanned adjustment offered a window to a successful summit for the majority of our party, although we met groups who failed either side of our new summit day including a group of 19 who were left so disappointed. I am a seasoned hiker but this was my first time using ropes and having to complete some technical mountaineering, the training and equipment was provided by Mohan and his team including Dawa J Sherpa (5 time Everest summiteer) all helping to micro manage each group member on the day. The uniqueness offered by Namaste Nomad is that they genuinely care that you get the most from the adventure you choose. Other companies testify to the same but sometimes really it is left up to you to make the most of what they offer, they're running a business however to Mohan and Namaste Nomad it is more than just a business, one experience and you'll understand what I mean. They have set a real benchmark for me.

What can I say about Namaste Nomads, just Excellent. From start to finish, everyone that we dealt with were helpful, professional, caring and accommodating in what we wanted for our adventure. Itinerary changes were no problems. The advice we were given before we flew out to Kathmandu and all through the trek were invaluble in making the trek a success. We were picked up at the airport and taken to our hotel and met by Ashim who checked us in and explained about the rest of the trip. We met our guide Dawa (5 times Everest summitier). So much experience from all the Namaste Nomad staff. The trek was fantastic and Dawa (guide) and Sudip (sherpa) looked after us throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Their advise from what to eat and how to cope with the altitude was invaluble. The porters who carried our bags were efficient and our bags were always at the lodge well before we arrived. When we got to EBC a change to the itinerary was discussed with us. Dawa suggested we climb Kala Patthar that afternoon and see the sunset over Everest rather than seeing the sunrise early in the morning. What a brilliant suggestion as we saw Everest on fire. If you want to do trek in Nepal then check these people out. I would not hesitate to go with them again. Already planning a trip in 2020 with them.
