Today’s trek is short but a strenuous uphill climb. Trekkers enjoy the initial part which goes through the thick forest and swinging bridges over small rivers. After crossing the trail climbs towards Bakhim. Bakhim has forest hut and many trekkers like stay at Bakhim another 2 hours of steep climb and you will the beautiful village of Tshoka. At Tsokha village there are few small shops which also serve hot noodles and a beautiful monastery. The views from Tshoka village will take away your all pain.

Today is the longest day and it’s like a summit day in any expedition. We will start at 3 am early in the morning to make sure that we reach to witness the sunrise from the Goechala pass. See what people are saying about us!

This was the second trip I booked with Namaste Nomad. The first was hiking to Everest Base Camp which was a phenomenal trip! I placed a deposit on Bhutan before I left Nepal due to the shear genuineness of Mohan. He is very thorough in ensuring a safe and successful trip. In Bhutan he was open to group needs and used this information to organize alternative to the original plans. The group I was with had great communication between so that we could make choices that benefitted all of us. If you are thinking of traveling abroad and you love realism in your travels this is the company to book with. You will get the chance to see everyday life in your travels vs sitting on a tour bus skipping the realities of life outside.

I had the pleasure of recently being part of another wonderful trip to the Himalayas - Annapurna Base Camp - with Namaste Nomad - a wonderful small business. There are so many reasons I would always choose Namaste Nomad over any other company. Most importantly it is a true Eco friendly organisation, everything is accounted for along the treks - food, water and waste. They are also Animal friendly and only use porters for transport. This is better as it is providing more jobs for locals, and removes any animal cruelty that can occur only the trek due to pushing yaks or donkeys too hard, too far and without adequate food or water. The food during my trips was phenomenal! If you listen to Mohan and the rest of the guides you are guaranteed success at altitude. Vegetarian, local and fresh food are on the menu. Everyone can live without meat for a couple of weeks...you most definitely don't want to be eating meat in a country that doesn't do health and safety and the food has to be transported on some ones back and could be 4 or 5 days before reaching its end destination - your plate.I have never felt safer on a trip in a foreign country than with Namaste Nomad. The sherpas, porters and guides are all local and have been with the company for a long time. They are all courteous, respectful, friendly and extremely knowledgeable - many of them having submitted Everest and other Himalayan peaks many times over.Everything is taken care of from your first interaction with Mohan. Flights, hotels, transport food, etc. The cost is the best value I have seen - even better value than most as the experience you are getting is unbelievable. As if that wasnt enough, Namaste Nomad also helps out small, local people and communities around Nepal with fundraising and charity works. If you want to raise money to give back to some of the communities you know that it is going directly to where it is needed and not into the pockets of charity CEOs.Don't listen to me any more, just book a trip with Mohan and see for yourself!

Another incredible trip with an amazing company

Whether you’re a seasoned traveller or just first time adventurer you'll notice when you search on line for somewhere to visit that there are plenty of web sites and travel companies that seem to offer very similar packages, similar routes, similar landscapes all promising the same experience. This is my second time to Himalayas, first time to Everest base camp (with a different Irish Company). I recently travelled to Island Peak with Mohan and Namaste Nomad team. No matter how much research you do regarding a trek the experience will be a unique and personal journey for you, there are a lot of variables to consider. I enjoyed my first experience, however when I compare both treks covering similar routes albeit different destinations I cannot stress how impressed I am with the leadership, professionalism, sincerity, and uniqueness that is offered by Namaste Nomad. From the outset there is trust, honesty, and a deep motivation by Mohan and his team to understand and satisfy your reason for joining an adventure with them. Whether you travel alone (like me), as a couple, or a group of friends you will soon feel part of a wonderful group with the necessary time to oneself and others yet the room to feel like you’re on holiday although you have a mission. They offer great advice from well seasoned experienced staff, your safety and well being are always monitored and cared for, food and accommodation is lovely and varied. The people you meet, the guides and helpers, and the places you visit and stay along the way are easily passed by other tour companies. With our 2018 trek to Island Peak plans had to change due to weather conditions and our itinerary was altered and managed seamlessly by Mohan and his team with coordination with Kathmandu. This unplanned adjustment offered a window to a successful summit for the majority of our party, although we met groups who failed either side of our new summit day including a group of 19 who were left so disappointed. I am a seasoned hiker but this was my first time using ropes and having to complete some technical mountaineering, the training and equipment was provided by Mohan and his team including Dawa J Sherpa (5 time Everest summiteer) all helping to micro manage each group member on the day.The uniqueness offered by Namaste Nomad is that they genuinely care that you get the most from the adventure you choose. Other companies testify to the same but sometimes really it is left up to you to make the most of what they offer, they're running a business however to Mohan and Namaste Nomad it is more than just a business, one experience and you'll understand what I mean. They have set a real benchmark for me.

Just come back from Bhutan and India, had the most amazing time. Mohan looked after us well and always made our travels easy, taking care of everyones needs. I experienced some amazing sights which I do not think I would have on any average tour, we really did see the real India. I am now planning my next trip. Can not recommend them enough.

AMAZING PICO MOUNTAINS NORTH SPAIN

"

I took part in a trek to Annapurna Basecamp with Namaste Nomad in April 2019. I had trekked with Mohan and his team twice before- to Langtang Valley in Nepal in March 2018 and The Picos, in Northern Spain in June 2018. This was my third trip- so I wasn’t as anxious about what awaited me in Nepal! The route to Annapurna is very accessible, the walking was tough enough, I thought- a lot of steps, which are sore on the knees! We were well looked after my our guide, Mohan, and his Sherpa team, Dowa and Mingma, as well as the rest of the team. The food, as on all the trips I’ve been on, was really superb. I loved the rice, lentils, local vegetables and of course the ginger tea! The accommodation was basic but always clean and adequate. Reaching Annapurna Basecamp was the high point of the trip for me- I will never forget it! We were part of a small group, just four hikers. I was traveling with a friend. We had both been part of larger groups on our previous two trips.I think I would prefer to travel in a bigger group if/when I go on a trip like this again. It was a great experience and I recommend Namaste Nomad.

I recently returned from a thoroughly enjoyable trek to EBC and Kalapathar. The trip was beyond amazing and a life changing experience. This was all made possible, largely due to our highly organised and very knowledgable Leader Mohan (and his team of local Sherpas and Porters) who educated us on all aspects of life in Nepal including environmental issues which he is very passionate about. Mohan’s attention to detail was second to none, ensuring everyone stayed healthy and safe, while also thoroughly enjoying ourselves. This is the trip of a lifetime with breathtaking views and such cheerful and welcoming locals. We had a fantastic group that supported one another throughout and the craic was brilliant. I would highly recommend travelling with this company and I for one, can’t wait here for my next trekking adventure with them. Thank you Mohan.
