Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
- Program: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Rest and attend a pre-climb briefing with your guide to review the itinerary, check equipment, and prepare for the trek.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi.
Day 2: Day to prepare and breading the whole trip.

Day 2: Moshi to Machame Gate (1,800m) to Machame Camp (3,000m)
- Hiking Time: 5-7 hours | Distance: 11km (7 miles)
- Terrain: Rainforest
- Program: After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate for registration. Begin your trek through lush rainforest, where you might spot unique flora and fauna. Arrive at Machame Camp for the night.
- Meals: Lunch and dinner provided.
Day 3: Machame Camp (3,000m) to Shira Camp (3,840m)
- Hiking Time: 4-6 hours | Distance: 5km (3 miles)
- Terrain: Moorland
- Program: Climb out of the rainforest into heather and moorland zones. Enjoy stunning views of Mt. Meru and Kibo Peak as you trek to Shira Camp.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.
Day 4: Shira Camp (3,840m) to Lava Tower (4,630m), then Barranco Camp (3,960m)
- Hiking Time: 6-8 hours | Distance: 10km (6 miles)
- Terrain: Semi-desert
- Program: Ascend to Lava Tower for acclimatization, where you’ll “walk high and sleep low.” Descend to Barranco Camp, passing unique giant senecio trees.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.
Day 5: Barranco Camp (3,960m) to Karanga Camp (4,035m)
- Hiking Time: 4-5 hours | Distance: 5km (3 miles)
- Terrain: Alpine desert
- Program: Climb the iconic Barranco Wall, a steep but manageable scramble offering breathtaking views. Continue to Karanga Camp, where you’ll rest and prepare for the summit push.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.
Day 6: Karanga Camp (4,035m) to Barafu Camp (4,640m)
- Hiking Time: 4-5 hours | Distance: 4km (2.5 miles)
- Terrain: Alpine desert
- Program: A short trek to Barafu Camp, your base camp for the summit attempt. Rest, hydrate, and prepare for the midnight ascent. Early dinner and rest.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.
Day 7: Barafu Camp (4,640m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Mweka Camp (3,080m)
- Hiking Time: 10-15 hours | Distance: 17km (11 miles)
- Terrain: Arctic and rainforest
- Program: Begin the summit push around midnight, trekking under the stars to reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Barafu for a rest, then continue to Mweka Camp for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.
Day 8: Mweka Camp (3,080m) to Mweka Gate (1,640m) to Moshi
- Hiking Time: 3-4 hours | Distance: 10km (6 miles)
- Terrain: Rainforest
- Program: Descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificate. Return to Moshi for a well-earned rest.
- Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi.
Day 9: Start of Safari – Moshi to Tarangire National Park
- Program: After breakfast, depart from Moshi and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and more.
- Accommodation: Lodge or tented camp within or near the park.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater
- Program: After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for a full-day safari. The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to diverse wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo). In the afternoon, ascend the crater and transfer to your lodge.
- Accommodation: Lodge or tented camp near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.
Day 11: Lake Manyara National Park and Return to Moshi/Arusha
- Program: Head to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. This park is known for its tree-climbing lions, vibrant birdlife, and scenic lake views. After lunch, drive back to Moshi or Arusha, marking the end of your safari adventure.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi or Arusha (optional, based on departure time).
- Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided.
Day 12: Departure
- Program: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or continue with other planned adventures.
Once you book the trip, we will provide all essential information 6 month before depature.
NOTE –
Although Kilimanjaro is non-technical, it requires good physical fitness. Prepare by:
- Aerobic Exercises: Hiking, running, or cycling for endurance.
- Strength Training: Focus on your legs, core, and back for carrying a daypack.
- Practice Hikes: Climb hills or mountains at altitude if possible.
Start training at least 3–6 months before your climb.
