"Thank you, Namaste Nomad and Mohan, for an epic trekking experience of a lifetime to the Everest Base Camp (EBC). The planning process was straightforward with timely and accurate communication from Mohan. He was quick to answer our questions which inspired great confidence in the company. We knew that we were in good hands. Mohan and his team made every effort to ensure that we were all safe and that everyone achieved their goals of reaching EBC. He documented the trip along the way and posted photos and stories on social media, which was comforting, enjoyable, and informative for family and friends at home. The food is clean, healthy and delicious, and was carefully prepared to provide perfect fuel for our bodies throughout the trek. The company is also very eco-friendly as they bring all plastics and rubbish down the mountain for recycling. While we were enjoying the amazing Himalayas of Nepal, Mohan and his team expertly handled the daily logistics of travel and lodging. Mohan’s familiarity with the region and its ever-changing weather patterns paid off as he was able to adjust our daily treks to maximize the experience and breath-taking views of the Himalayas. He always had a Plan B! And, a big shout-out to the Sherpas who are all skillful climbers and very friendly. The company provides duffle bags for the trekkers which helps ensure that the Sherpas only carry up to 48.5 lbs. each! Namaste Nomad truly cares about their clients and ensures that they get the most out of world-class trek. Highly recommended!

"I have just returned from the most remarkable trip of a lifetime to Everest Basecamp. I don’t usually write reviews however on this occasion I feel the need to share my experiences which I hope will inspire others to travel and to book a trip with Namaste Nomad. I booked this trip in Jan 18 after meeting with Mohan. After my initial meeting I had no doubts in travelling with Mohan and his team. Mohan is an exceptional person who is so passionate about his business and works so hard to ensure everyone meets their goal and has an amazing trip. Everest Basecamp was everything I imagined and much more. The views are breathtaking and the sense of achievement on arriving at Basecamp is so hard to put into words. The trip is a life changing experience as you learn so much about yourself and indeed about others. It really was a journey from the time of booking until we returned home from the Himalayas. I found it very challenging physically, mentally and emotionally but that’s what made it so very special. Throughout the trek Mohan was so attentive to our every need, every decision he made was the right one and his motivation and encouragement ensured we all made it successfully to Basecamp. Mohan’s knowledge of Nepal and the Himalayas is exceptional. Everything from planning the food to gauging the weather to recognising signs when some of us weren’t too well was spot on If you are considering a trek then I can honestly say that you will not get anyone better to travel with than Namaste Nomad. The team of Sherpas and Porters are incredible and the bond made with the Sherpas is one I will never forget, it really was incredible. As for value for money you will not get a more competitive price as I priced several others which were significantly more costly than Namaste Nomad Overall if you want a challenging and life changing experience then I encourage you to make that adventure with Namaste Nomad and I guarantee you will not regret it Thanks to Mohan and his team for everything, I will never forget it. Xx
"Whether you’re a seasoned traveller or just first time adventurer you'll notice when you search on line for somewhere to visit that there are plenty of web sites and travel companies that seem to offer very similar packages, similar routes, similar landscapes all promising the same experience. This is my second time to Himalayas, first time to Everest base camp (with a different Irish Company). I recently travelled to Island Peak with Mohan and Namaste Nomad team. No matter how much research you do regarding a trek the experience will be a unique and personal journey for you, there are a lot of variables to consider. I enjoyed my first experience, however when I compare both treks covering similar routes albeit different destinations I cannot stress how impressed I am with the leadership, professionalism, sincerity, and uniqueness that is offered by Namaste Nomad. From the outset there is trust, honesty, and a deep motivation by Mohan and his team to understand and satisfy your reason for joining an adventure with them. Whether you travel alone (like me), as a couple, or a group of friends you will soon feel part of a wonderful group with the necessary time to oneself and others yet the room to feel like you’re on holiday although you have a mission. They offer great advice from well seasoned experienced staff, your safety and well being are always monitored and cared for, food and accommodation is lovely and varied. The people you meet, the guides and helpers, and the places you visit and stay along the way are easily passed by other tour companies. With our 2018 trek to Island Peak plans had to change due to weather conditions and our itinerary was altered and managed seamlessly by Mohan and his team with coordination with Kathmandu. This unplanned adjustment offered a window to a successful summit for the majority of our party, although we met groups who failed either side of our new summit day including a group of 19 who were left so disappointed. I am a seasoned hiker but this was my first time using ropes and having to complete some technical mountaineering, the training and equipment was provided by Mohan and his team including Dawa J Sherpa (5 time Everest summiteer) all helping to micro manage each group member on the day. The uniqueness offered by Namaste Nomad is that they genuinely care that you get the most from the adventure you choose. Other companies testify to the same but sometimes really it is left up to you to make the most of what they offer, they're running a business however to Mohan and Namaste Nomad it is more than just a business, one experience and you'll understand what I mean. They have set a real benchmark for me.

"Travelled to the north of Spain for a week with Mohan from Namaste Nomad - travelled with 2 friends - 12 in total in the group - 12 had such a laugh. Great bunch of people of all age groups. The holiday was fool proof with all activities and meals organised. We age local cuisine with the locals. Truly an amazing holiday and I would highly recommend it. I thought the holiday was so well organised I have decided to travel to Nepal with this company in 2018. Get booking - you wont regret it.

"October 2016 Everest Base Camp... I went with Namaste Nomad having looked at other companies based in Ireland doing the same trek. Mohan was always available to answer questions. He himself has trekked to EBC lots of times which is reflected in his knowledge and experience. He employs Sherpa's (and pays them a fair wage !) whom are also very experienced trekkers and some have summited Everest !! they are very in-tuned into the needs (inc health needs, signs & symptoms of altitude sickness), informing us of the different peaks and opening to talking about their experiences summiting mount Everest. The weather was not in our favour for part of the trek. One morning...at 4am the cloud finally lifted; Mohan came and woke us all to share our first glance of mount Everest it was amazing. It is a well worn track to EBC and the key is to take it slowly and enjoy...live in the moment! Mohan always ensured we ate well, drank plenty of clean water & paid attention to everyone on the trek to ensure we remained healthy & safe in order to reach EBC. Mohan had arrange some touristy stuff in Kathmandu before our departure to Lukla...which was great and an opportunity to meet and get to know the group. I would recommend Mohan and his company Namaste Nomad !! I have subsequently booked a trip to Bhutan with Namaste Nomad :)

"I travelled with a group from Ireland to Nepal where we started our joureny to Everest Basecamp. This trek was very special to me as I was doing it for charity in memory of my late brother who was a keen hillwalker. Our group was made up of 9 people from Ireland, Scotland and USA. Such a fantastic group it turned out to be. We all supported each other and made new friends, having alot of fun along the way. Oh From start to finish Mohan our leader, did everything in his power to ensure that our trek was 100% successful. The trip was very challenging but very rewarding. He supported us all even when we were struggling and was there at our beck and call at all times. I would like to give a special mention to the 3 sherpas who accompanied us during our trek, Tshering, Pimba and Paldene. Such fantastic support to all of us and true gentlemen. I would highly recommend this group for anybody contemplating a similar experience.

"I travelled to Nepal with Namaste Nomad in March 2018 to trek in Langtang Valley. There were eleven in the group, along with Mohan, our guide. We spent a few days in Kathmandu to acclimatise. We visited three Unesco Heritage sites in the city. Then the trek began- an eight hour bus journey to the start of our adventure.. We trekked for eight days in the are which had been devastated by the earthquake in 2015. The trek was exhilarating, sometimes challenging- Mohan reminded us that we were in the Himalayas- always an adventure! He knew what we needed/wanted before we did! The team of sherpas and trainees were really excellent- they sorted our luggage every day... even checking under the beds in case we left anything behind; they cooked our delicious meals & served us- some of us are still dreaming of Dhal Bhat😋! They were at our side before we knew we needed a hand up or down loose rock🙄! After seven days trekking we returned to Kathmandu to wind down. It was a great experience, made special by the attention to detail of Mohan- a birthday party 🎉, a St Patrick's Day celebration to name a few. What a trip! I recommend Namaste Nomad unreservedly & will travel with Mohan again!
